Ben made the final at the Wimbledon juniors, he lost to a very good Hungarian player 6-4 6-4. Some other things Ben has done this year have been the Orange Boy for the Davis Cup clash with Belgium which Aus lost 2-3. He also has only made one semi final in a future event this year which was in April, but in the last couple of future events Ben has been given fairly had draws having to play Dmitrov on clay, Reid on hardcourt and Balakrishanan on hardcourt.

Ben's brother is on a popular Australian TV show called Home and Away, he plays Romeo, real name is Luke Mitchell. In the juniors Ben has won two grade one events this year in Victoria and Asia.
