WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID
Soderling: “It's been a very good week overall. I started out struggling a bit in my first two rounds, struggling to find my form, but I worked hard and managed to get better with every match. Obviously it's not the way I wanted to win today with Mikhail retiring injured but I am still very happy to end the week with another title.
“It's a tough situation playing somebody who is injured. You have to stay focused and I think I handled it pretty well today. I really wanted to win the title since coming so close in 2008. It's a great tournament with a great history and it is amazing to add my name to the great list of past champions here.”
Youzhny: “I tried my best but Robin was too strong. My injury was getting worse and worse with every game. I could feel it since my match against Gael Monfils (in the quarter-finals) but today it was really tough for me to start running. I really enjoyed the tournament; it's been an unbelievable atmosphere all week and I hope to do even better next year.”
Men's Doubles

Zimonjic: “Firstly I'd like to say well done to Simon and Paul. They played great all week. There was just one point in it today, they're a great team and good luck to them in trying reaching the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London later this year.
“It's been a great week here for us. It feels even better to defend our title from last year and we look forward to coming back again next year.”
